Where do the 2025 Carolina Hurricanes go from here?

When you keep hitting a wall, you have to look at the reasons for that and devise a plan to fix it.

I would argue that the Carolina Hurricanes are, if nothing else, uniquely positioned to try.

Going into the offseason, only four teams in the entire league — all of them more obviously in rebuilds: Chicago, Anaheim, Columbus, and San Jose — have more cap space than the 'Canes. With a war chest of more than $28.4 million, and relatively few even middle-class players to re-sign, GM Eric Tulsky has the opportunity to add significant depth to his team by bringing in talented players from outside the organization.

Whether he will be able to do so is another question.
